Robert Wares, CEO of Osisko Metals, discusses the Gaspé Copper Project and the Pine Point Zinc Project. The Gaspé Copper Project is an acquisition completed with Glencore and has the potential for a significant open pit copper resource. The project is in a safe jurisdiction and is moving towards environmental baseline studies and permitting. The Pine Point Zinc Project has Appian as a partner and Osisko Metals will retain a minority interest. Robert Wares also discusses the increasing demand for base metals, especially copper, due to the energy transition and the potential for metal deficits in the future.
