Two mining stocks, two construction sites: Osisko Gold Group remains on schedule at the Cariboo gold project. First gold pour is planned for the first quarter of 2029, with commercial production to begin in the second half of 2029. More than a quarter of the project is complete, detailed engineering is well advanced, and over half of the procurement packages have been awarded. The key long-lead items are largely secured. Blue Moon Metals has reached several milestones at its Springer tungsten mine in Nevada. A contractor has been hired to refurbish the processing plant, along with an owner’s engineer and a contract for worker accommodation. The plant is expected to restart at the end of 2027. Springer is meant to restore domestic U.S. tungsten supply, since no tungsten has been commercially mined in the country since 2015.
