Sibanye-Stillwater: Acquisition of the Mopani Copper Mine in Zambia?

Thanks to its broad portfolio on five continents and its top position as the world's leading recycler of platinum group metals (PGM) from autocatalysts, and not least thanks to its majority stakes in leading mining waste recycling plants, Sibanye-Stillwater has impressively underpinned its position as a resilient exceptional player in the metals market. Sibanye-Stillwater is also embarking on a path of renewal in Africa and is preparing a bid to take over the "Mopani Copper" mine controlled by the Zambian state, which produces around 225,000 tons of copper per year.
